Northeastern University Direct Entry September 2016

It's a little early but I just wanted to start this to see if anybody has heard from Northeastern University regarding an interview or decision. All posts about the school/application and acceptance process welcomed!! Looking forward to hearing from some people!

@Happy student 17 what made you think the clinical placements are not secure?

From attending info sessions it sounds as though we are responsible for clinical placement at both simmons and northeastern. Current students have told me it takes a while to find the right job and much easier outside of Boston.

@mickey7256 sorry I couldn't respond to your private message, I haven't posted enough on here. I was only asked two questions and my interview was a total of 10 minutes. I agree with everyone else that the program seemed totally unorganized and for that I am choosing another school that I have been accepted to. So hopefully that frees up a spot for someone else!

It wasn't said directly, but during my interview it just sounded like they were really struggling with finding placements for everyone. They said students were deff not responsible for finding their own placements, but they don't seem to have strong, established partnerships.

Has anyone still not heard back for an interview? I know they don't necessarily interview everyone. A friend of mine got accepted without one but I'm still nervous.

She said yes everyone gets interviewed. They don't offer acceptance without an interview. Don't lose hope though, you may still get an interview!

Has anyone got accepted to the psych track? I interviewed Jan 12th and still haven't heard anything

Any neonatal applicants: I called today about the neonatal specialty and admissions told me that they started with NNP last and that they're still actively interviewing!

I looks like from the admissions office that the committee is still reviewing applications and letters will be going out in march/April
