Northeastern University Direct Entry September 2016

It's a little early but I just wanted to start this to see if anybody has heard from Northeastern University regarding an interview or decision. All posts about the school/application and acceptance process welcomed!! Looking forward to hearing from some people!

Hello everyone! I just declined my acceptance to the Family Nurse Practitioner program (I was accepted to my first choice). So hopefully that frees up a spot for someone on the waitlist! Good luck to everyone! :)

Hey Ijfo, I sent in my deposit around 2/25 and have only received a confirmation email but no official paperwork. I'm hoping they send things out soon so I can start my financial planning and FAFSA. Have you heard anything else from the admissions office?

anyone have northeastern as their first choice? I'm in a weird position- got accepted to one program, just a bsn program though and NEU is my first choice by far- no word on interview or any real communication as of yet. What do I do?

I would still have the BSN portion in mind because you never heard from Norheastern yet so you'll have something in your back pocket. But still wait for NEU because you never know. So say yes and pay whatever you need to do for the other one and then you can always say no to the other school if you get into NEU. That's my opinion but you should talk over it with other people.

I still have heard nothing from them either. Where is the BSN program you were accepted to?

I still havent heard anything post interview. I spoke with somebody who got in around this time last year and she said she got a phone call first, then her portal was updated and then she received a letter. Seems consistent with those who were accepted last month. Hoping to get a call soon.

Has anybody been flat out rejected yet? I have heard of people getting accepted and waitlisted...but nothing about denials. Also, anyone who applied this fall on the psych track been accepted??

Yea I haven't heard of anyone from psych finding out yet- trying not to freak but i am.

My friend suggested me calling to get an answer but I haven't heard anything yet and I don't wanna risk it

I heard that we find out in groups by specialty. So maybe it's a good thing

I would honestly call them. There's no harm in calling them and asking how far they are in the whole process. I feel like it's a little late in the game now. However my friend just found out about Northeastern's ABSN program. I'm not sure if that matters but I would still call or email them about the whole process. Don't be shy cause sometimes being assertive is a good thing.
