Northeastern Direct Entry 2018

Hi everyone! I have found threads for all of the direct entry programs that I am applying to except for Northeastern, so I wanted to get one started! I have received an email stating that my application has been received, but so far that is all I have heard. I'm looking forward to talking to some of you! I am finishing up my undergraduate degree with a major in health sciences and my undergraduate GPA is a 3.95. My GRE scores are decent, but I have limited experience in the field, short of some volunteering, so I am afraid that will hurt me. I would love to hear your stats and experiences!

Does anyone who interviewed for PNP know when our decisions are coming out? The wait is killing me!

I have no idea!! I had my interview in early January.. I'm hoping we find out this week

Hi guys-

I just had my phone interview for the FNP track. The interviewer was very nice and overall it was pretty informal! She only asked me a few questions, one of them being what interested me in applying to the program. The rest of the interview was just me asking questions and us conversing. She said I should be hearing from the program director relatively soon! Good luck to everyone!

I had my interview for FNP too. Did she tell you when she would contact you back? Or the general timeline of when decisions will be given out?

Have you guys looked at the NCLEX pass rates that are slowly decreasing for Northeastern? It was 95% (2014) to 89% (2015) to 88% (2016). Can any current students talk about how the program is organized and pros/cons?

Hi, I've also applied to the PNP and had my interview on the 10th, but still haven't heard anything! Has anyone heard back yet?

oh i didn't know that....that makes me super weary of their program

I also had my FNP interview yesterday! For anyone who has theirs next week - don't be nervous! I was so worried but it was really casual. It ended up just being a conversation about the program and a chance for me to ask any questions I had about logistics. She said I should hear from the program director via email by Friday just to clear up any questions I still have. Not sure when we will hear about actual decisions though :(

I just called to inquire on the status of my application. The woman was very rude, sounded half-asleep, and just said that my application was complete and under review. When asked about the timeline of decisions, she only said "March-April, could be before then." Very disappointed with their admissions staff.

if i were you i'd try to contact the person who interviewed you because they're on the actual committee for your specialty. my interviewer told me that the admissions office is only responsible for sending out decisions once they've been made. they won't know when your committee will be done though.

I was told I would hear "very soon" which basically means nothing but hopefully in the next week or so!
