I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
I do the same thing. I have a word doc on my desktop and anytime something useful gets added to the thread I copy and paste it into my word doc.
OK, call me a freak, but I'm on page 35 of this thread! I'm so excited about starting at NL, I'm trying to find out as much info as possible from all of your posts!I'm taking notes & everything! :bowingpur Thank you all so much-this thread kicks a$$
Katie,
What's the 411 on the HESI after 2nd and 4th semesters? What happens if you don't pass? How many chances do you get to pass?
Is this the HESI book you have? http://www.amazon.com/NCLEX-RN-Review-Manual-STUDYware-CD-ROM/dp/1416040781/sr=1-1/qid=1161143146/ref=sr_1_1/002-5300736-0496829?ie=UTF8&s=books

The Hesi book is not required. But I bought one (new) for $60. We take the Hesi after 2nd and 4th semesters. :uhoh21:Katie

Yes, I bought that book.
As of now, you have one chance to pass on the midterm hesi. If you don't pass you can do some case studies. If you get an A on them you pass. If you don't your are welcome to try 2nd semester again.
But don't worry about hesi right now. It's too early. :roll

Jaxia,What you heard on the phone might not be a bad thing. My paper says our confirmation must be turned in by Oct. 23 or we lose our spot. I would be willing to bet they are waiting to send out rejection letters until they see how many open spots they have so you might be closer than you think so hang in there!

Thanks for trying to cheer me up! All this information that doesn't match is so confusing. This girl that I talked to said that letters were due by the 28th, and then she said the 27th. So, she said the 26th would give me enough time to respond if I still hadn't got a letter.
I sent an email today to see if I could find out anything via that avenue Maybe if I come at them from all directions, someone will answer my questions!! lol
Honestly, I don't think I'm *too* far down the list, since I had the first two numbers (pre-req GPA and number of support hours). The reason I said I was further down than I thought is that if they had to go to the 4th tie breaker (NET reading score) then there were people who are ahead of me in the support hour GPA.
Am I making any sense? I think I stayed up too late last night studying for my A&P II midterm. I'm trying to keep myself motivated!
Maybe I'll stow away in your backpack and attend anyway :monkeydance:
I'm sorry but I think all of that is CRAZY! I talked to the girl in my Stats who just graduated from EC in Spring 2006. She said she only did HESI after 4th semester and had 2 times to pass it (pass was 85). I'm glad to be in but all this stuff they keep adding is just crazy. We have to do the LASSI stuff too and it must be done 4 days BEFORE we even go to orientation. I only got less than 70% on 1 module thank goodness.
