Good luck to everyone!
Well, I got my packet. I was literally scared to go to the post office after I read Jaxia's post. I hadn't been on the board this week at all until this morning and read all that has happened this week. I GOT IN!!!! :) I will be at Northlake. This was my 1st time appying. I was so happy that I cried when I read the first page.

Jaxia,
I felt so bad for you when I read your post. Do you know for sure you didn't get in or are you just speculating? It was very competative this time but please don't give up. Everything happens for a reason. This will give you extra time to take more classes and save more $$$ that you will need once you do get in.
Amy
Jaxia,
Well, if you barely missed it then you still might have a chance. I'm sure every semester there are a few people who decide to not enter the program, for whatever reason. What was your NET Reading score? The NET reading score was the final tie breaker this time. Don't give up yet.

Congrats!! I'm glad both of you made it :)Yes, I'm just speculating at this point -- still no letter for me. But, I saw the cutoff, and I barely missed it.
Congrats to Spill and Amy - still holding for you Jaxia!
I was an "alternate" many years ago - at all but one of my choice schools and the one that accepted me, I couldnt attend. Looking back, it was all for the best - a semesters wait, a late start - 15 years later it has made not one iota of difference and maybe I appreciated where I was a little more. Don't give up hope. It really will all work out, no matter how it works out.
I am SO glad that I was almost finished with support hours when I applied. My packet says that I must enroll in PSYC 2314 AND BIOL 2402 in the spring along with the Nursing classes if I haven't taken them already. That might be a reason that alot of 1st semester students failed or quit the program. That would be waaaaaay too much!
