OMG! Fun, are you going crazy with nerves and excitement yet? I wonder how people will live with me during the few weeks leading up to me starting the nursing program, lol :) It's been so cool to read about the stuff you've had to go through -- Thanks for the inspiration!

lol....I can't wait 'till y'all get accepted. I'll be just as excited for ya!

Amy & Jaxia - I totally understand your feelings!! When I was going through the application process in the Winter/Spring, I would get onto Allnurses every day and read the threat from the students who had just been accepted and started the EC/NL program in the Spring. It was so exciting reading what they were going through and knowing I was only 6 months to 1 year away from the same experience. Now I am about to go crazy trying to wrap up everything around the house that will be totally neglected for the next 2 years . How about you FUN? Nervous and excited and scared to death?

Jaxia - last semester I took A&P II and Micro together but those were the only classes I took - and I am a Stay-at-home mom so I did not work (except for the normal 24-hour a day, 7 days a week with that job!). I made A's in both but it was alot of work. I went to Cedar Valley in Lancaster and learned alot and enjoyed the profs.

Thanks for the info! Right now I am signed up for A&P II, Texas Govt, US Govt, Nutrition and Stats for the fall. I might switch out the Govt and pick up Chemistry, but I've decided to wait on Micro until next summer so I can have a study partner in Amy :D

Hey All!

Just a little update.....I made an 'A' in Micro! I am so excited, I have kept my 4.0 average! On the down side.....as of 11:08 this morning, I have approximately 16 hours of working at my job left :uhoh21: . It has been a little stressful. Up until last Thursday, no one in my company knew who was going to replace me. Well.....Thursday afternoon an email came in from corporate in Chicago with an employee rearrangement chart! Well...to begin with my name was no where on the chart (not that I care), but get this........the person who is replacing me is the man who hired me! Can you say slap in the face demotion! Yesterday I had to "train" him on some of the stuff I do......very weird. Anyway, I have been freaking out with the last paycheck/short timers disease and scared to death about nursing school. Ecampus intimidates me to no end! I can't even begin to make heads or tails of it. I guess I will see some of you in two weeks.

Kendra

P.S. No luck on switching to VA. Oh well....Mesquite is 2 days a week, hopefully I will learn more, experience more than in one 12 hour day.

:balloons: Congrats on the A in MicroSUX! :D

I think ecampus is a jumbled mess right now. The only thing I see is one .doc for Fall 2006, then on another page there's basically the same title, but it's still for Spring 2006.

I'll probably start reading & taking some notes for the rest of this week and next.

Congrats on your "A"! Kendra, are you at EC or NL? I know several people from the EC campus who are at Mesquite.

I remember how it felt when I quit my job to be a SAHM. It was bittersweet - I was ready for the change but I missed my identity and my feelings of worth that were tied to that job. But now that you aren't going to be working you will have much less stress during school. I honestly don't know how people can go to nursing school, work part time and have a family too!! But many people do it successfully!

SPILL: Way to hang in there! Good luck and keep us posted!

OK EVERYONE: While reading back on one of my previous posts I had to laugh:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: . My brain must be fried:uhoh3: . I typed that I would get onto Allnuses every day and read the "threat" from the students accepted in Spring '06! I should have said "thread" ! OOPS!
