I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!

Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:

Good luck to everyone!

It's going pretty good, actually. I've enjoyed learning at Terrell. I'm glad I got to go there.

I still have to take time to see the cemetary, etc, and I hope to get a chance to see the pet therapy and music therapy classes.

Tuesday we will be having the ECT orientation, and viewing the ECT tx's on Wednesday.

Amazing....

Yes, it's a great place. When we were there, we went to see the cemetery but the gates were closed and locked. So make sure you find somebody who can open it for you.

Pet therapy is really cool, I pet almost every animal there. Also, it was nice to see how some patients opened up and talked about animals or about their favorite music during music therapy. Their drama, dance and physical fitness classes are really good, too. It's hard to find time to attend these classes and also observe treatment teams or talk to patients. Oh, and you also have to finish all your paperwork, haven't you.

Yes, all of my paperwork has been turned in, or will be able to be turned in Tuesday. :balloons:

Whipped it.....got it out of the way! :pumpiron::w00t:

Management is too time-consuming! :spbox:

Between Psych and MGMT, my cancer studying days have been very low! :yldhdbng:

OK.... back to Mgmt...just had take a breather.

OK...this week's management class assignments didn't take as long. I guess the "team" stuff is better. :)

Did they post a med/surg reading assignment list on the ECC ecampus, or Katie, do you have one for 4th semester?

Hope work is going well for all the new RN's!:w00t::up:

I don't remember having reading assignments for med surg. How is lecture going? Any test, yet?

Specializes in Operating Room.

This week is the first test for us. We (NLC) got pushed back a week because our ecampus wasn't up for almost 2 weeks? (Something like that.)

My last day of Psych was today...very happy with my grade. :)

OK....some of us have to study. :chuckle

Our e-campus was down also and our test is still on the same day - tomorrow....I've been studying most of the day. What sucks is I thought I had allergies the last 2 days....I finally accepted today that I have a cold, and it's gotten worse throughout the day. I hope my head is clear enough to think for the test tomorrow.

Our exam was originally suppose to be last Thursday. We got an extra week.

Pros and cons though, we should be studying Endocrine, but still trying to cram Cancer. :uhoh3:

Specializes in ER.

Yeah - I haven't been too concerned about it, until I got sick and then I thought - wouldn't it be nice if it were postponed a week? lol....oh well - I'll survive! Good luck on your test!

we had our cancer test on Jan. 29, I personally thought it was not that bad, others thought it was hard. It depends on who you ask I guess.

I felt very rushed and pressured because we also had no ecampus for the first week, no lecture notes, lots of psych papers, etc., management class thrown in, but as always we had to manage ( isn't ECC lovely).

Mi'shelle did you go to the Parkland/Dinner? We had Baylor at ECC for Lunch last Tuesday, also.

I wish you all good luck on your tests !!!!

Specializes in Operating Room.

I went to the UTSW/St. Paul one last night. They brought us lunch Thursday. I think this coming Thursday, Baylor will be at NLC. I didn't know there was one for Parkland.

Our test was pushed back because 1) no instructor, 2) no presentations, 3) no presentations even after ECC got theirs working. I finally finished with Psych on Tuesday....5 out of the 10 days that we actually had ecampus went to psych. (Not even including the amount of time I spent on management!)

Oh well....all is back on track now, I think, and the semester is counting down!!! Vent/Rant over.... lol

Our test was ummmmm, I think, a cancer unit test. :uhoh3: I'll leave it at that. I passed, so I am definitely happy, but, I wish I would've done better, of course. :specs:

Now on to study Endo! Good luck to you as well!

Hows the externship going? Still loving the L&D? :nurse:
