Congrats to all of us that were accepted to the nursing program at either campus for Fall '06!!!!
:balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:
I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
Ok......be true....how was the experience at Terrell????We had our orientation yesterday and was able to orient ourselves to the floor we will be on......I was totally terrified. I guess due to not knowing the unknown. I know now what to expect on Thursday and Friday of this week(as far as patients)...but what are we suppose to do alllllll day????
Maybe I will just act like a patient and "blend in" and no one will notice. LOL.
No, I still don't have anything from 4th semester on ecampus, and I still don't see access to discussions on the evolve management class either.:flmngmd:
Needless to say, I am very frustrated and angry with ECC right now. We have our first test on the 29th and no lecture resources. I am just kind of guessing what chapters to read. Do you have any drug lists or anything? Luckily we have gotten some power points from some previous 4th semester students, if you want them I can email them to you.
I'd love to have them, and to forward them to my classmates, if you don't mind....
Our exam is on the 31st, but I have pysch rotation at Terrell on the 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th and 6th!
(I think you can email me from this site, if not, let me know. I can't remember if you have my email address or not.)
This was from one of my classmates....

Thanks for the chapters,
I would email you, but I can't do it threw the one here on allnurses, it won't let me attach nothing. PM me your email address.
Yang, do the same and I will try and see what I can do.
Yang, I have all of the old presentations saved.
Send me your email address. (Of course these are Becker's old ones that refer to Lewis, not Iggy, but we squeaked by......barely.)
I&I is first, correct?
Mysterious....I sent you my Cancer meds document, and review terms from the syllabus. :) Thanks for your info.

You can use therapeutic communication, observe treatment teams, participate in adjunctive therapies (yes, you can even play basketball there), talk to nurses, spend time with patients and observe signs of their diseases, observe ECT, and finish all the paperwork
. There are a lot to do there. Have fun, Katie
