I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
Again, grades didn't soud too good from most people I talked to after the test.ANYONE REQUIRED TO GO TO MOCK TRIAL THIS YEAR? We have clinical that evening (at 2PM). I'm not gong to the Mock trial....gonna miss getting all the freebees!
I am not happy with my 2nd test. Stupid endo test. I wonder what our class average is.
Probably, I won't be able to attend mock trial. We have a psych test to take that day. And I need to get 110% on that test now.

I did ok on the test , not as well as I would have liked. I think most of our class struggled, at least from what I have heard. The test was just very tricky in my opinion.
To tell you the honest truth, even though we have an actual lecture, I don't think it doesn't help that much. The instructor is new to teaching lecture and is mostly using the slides from Lewis. (She has put some new ones in there, but it is very confusing). I have a hard time following her, she seems somewhat all over the place (to me).
I get way more out of the Tegrity (Lewis) lectures on line. But maybe that's just me.
Congratulations and good luck to everyone who has made it to their 4th semester of nursing school! As I've said many times on this thread, it has been a long, hard race with many hurdles, but we can now see the finish line in the distance!

I did not know we need a management book, it was never listed in the list of books. Do you know which one it is?
A management syllabus for 50.00, they are crazy...............
Where do you get a CPR renewal for $ 15.00 and a TB renewal for free?
ECC charges $55.00 for the CPR renewal and $ 5.00 for the TB. Is that at NL?

I always had my TB skin test at NorthLake or at Brookhaven and they were free. And their school nurses are really nice, too.
We used this management book and its online code: http://www.us.elsevierhealth.com/product.jsp?isbn=9781416033363
And we didn't have management syllabus and finished the course just fine. .
I guess I didn't even look at that list very closely. I can't believe they expect us to buy two different sylllabi when the psych syllubus is online.
Ummm.....I just don't think so. I don't have the extra cash this semester! My scholarship is almost gone, and won't even cover all of the out-of-county tuition, let alone the book and all the other fees!

I think ECC should let students buy one syllabus per clinical group. A syllabus is useless after the semester is over.

Thanks...I'm interested to know what the difference in averages are with a lecture teaching out of IGGY vs. online presentations using Lewis.
Again, grades didn't sound too good from most people I talked to after the test.
Hope your test goes/went better!
