I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
Well, I'm not nearly as studious as you Fun, but I have reviewed over fluid and lytes for the first test, and started on women's repro health. I've been reading and taking notes, and watching the videos of the pedi seminar and the OB videos. Hopefully it will be enough of a jump start to keep my head above water. We don't show any study guides though for 2nd semester that you can fill out like we had for 1st semester. If anyone has anything like that for 2nd semester, I'd sure appreciate it!Yang
I only used the Potter & Perry Study Guide 1st semester, and the appropriate study guides that went with the books for 2nd semester.
The lecture guides I have for 3rd semester are the same as the actual lecture notes you can print, but with blank spaces at various places throughout the notes.
Why is it that I already feel behind and classes have not even started yet? I have read about half the chapters for unit 1 and watched the videos. My concern is that the previous sections were referred back to quite a bit. Bone formation, for example, we barely touched on it but we should be prepared to be knowledgeable in this area. Kinda stresses me out when what is thought to be taught in others classes is in fact be skipped across. Aren't we here to learn, if our program was an online/self taught program I would not be so pissed here.

Yeah, but I think basics on that. ...Break, inflammation, callus, bone formation.
I know I have to review the traction notes from last semester, and acid-base stuff for the respiratory chapters, if not more.
I wish it was a self-taught program. We'd save on gas money. :chuckle
I have hospital orientation tomorrow (9/4), and it's also Kaylee's 10th birthday! Wow, time flies!!!
Hope everyone's 1st week was good. It seems like it's been more than a week already though...oh well, maybe the semester will actually pick up speed once clinical starts, etc.
Only 15 weeks to go!?!?!?!?!?
