Congrats to all of us that were accepted to the nursing program at either campus for Fall '06!!!!

I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
Mornin' y'all!
I'm a little disappointed too....I was about to walk out the door when they finally changed the message on the NLC info line. haha
My husband said, "You may want to see if your school is closed, it's completely white out."
My kiddos' school closed before DCCCD did.
....AND.......WHAT THE H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS IS THE DEAL WITH DISD? I understand that some of those children are better off at school, but....shoot....I'd already be back to sleep once I heard that DISD was closed. Now they changed their minds & they are open?
(Sounds like the superintendent made it to work & decided everyone else should too.)
This is going to put a huge dent on schedules though. Iris is probably going nuts trying to figure out how to rearrange all the labs today! I'd hate to have her job today!
(Several of us had our 7-hr skills lab today...others had their hospital orientations today!)
HI everyone,
I really don't like this either, I supposed to have my first day today: orientation/lecture. Now I am in the loop and know nothing. Kathy , no I don't think they want you to come in on a unscheduled day, because they have other classes scheduled in the labs, and every room is full.
I am really disappointed, I was ready to get started. I don't have nothing scheduled for tomorrow either, I have clinical lab on Friday, but who knows what the weather will do then.
We were told our regular skills lab will not happen this week. So, I don't go back until next week.
We can't have our 7-hr lab on Friday because the other half of the 2nd semester students already have theirs that day. Of course, we may get squeezed in....may have to have lab in the lecture rooms or something.
Like I posted earlier....sure wouldn't want to have Iris' job right now.
I was calling the infoline, and kept refreshing wfaa.com's closing list. My 15 y.o. had her TV on the news.
Finally, at 6:22, I finally called the infoline again and the message had been changed to say that NLC was closed d/t inclement weather.
I had planned on having Kirsten at the high school @ 6:30, then head to NLC. (Her school starts at 7:15.)
I was ready, and was about to grab keys to leave.....thank goodness I kept calling that infoline. LOL!
Everyone stayed home...even Alan. We all had a snowball fight. ....I'm about to post a pic of Kaylee on the GM thread.
TOOOO cute!
Jaxia...I saw this before, but didn't reply. I just wanted to say that I spend way too much time online. I don't have TV time anymore. HAHAHAHA
Ok....My Parkland schedule, unless it changes, has me in L&D first!!!!!!
So....there better be lots and lots o'babies being popped out on Feb. 1st! :rotfl:

Did you have skills lab today, or lecture? For skills lab, we were supposed to have read in Fundamentals P 786 - 801, Jarvis page 21, and some video BN 87. I don't know lecture exactly yet (that's Friday!). Have fun!
