No such thing as a stupid question. Unless not asked.

Are you one of those students who ask questions no matter what time it is? Regardless of how silly you think it may be? Regardless where you are at? Regardless the teacher? Regardless the subject?

Nothing wrong with it.

Just like to know that there are students out there that are not afraid to ask questions.

Remember: There are no stupid questions.

One of my instructors said it as, there's no stupid question... unless it's because you didn't do the reading or prepare for class.

fair 'nuff.

"Why don't you have to inject air into ampules? I don't get it."

Does that count? And yes, that was a real question from one of my fellow students!

I have posted this before but there really are some stupid questions. Once, when precepting a young nursing student from a very expensive all girls private catholic college (whose students usually went to all girls private high schools & tend to be very smart but not very wise in the ways of the world). We were getting report from the ER nurse on a young female trauma (fell off a horse) patient. During the report the ER RN says "oh and they CT'ed her and found a cervical fracture". The ER RN paused, obviously trying to remember which cervical vertebrae was fractured. At this point my very wide-eyed nursing student grabs my arm and asks, with amazement in her voice, "HOW DID SHE FRACTURE HER CERVIX!?"

I agree with PMFB-RN...there are stupid questions. Truly.

But when they happen the gracious thing to do is to be silent and let the person realize the answer to the question themselves. oy

Questions like that genuinely make me laugh. I don't think the person is stupid. In fact I'm kind of grateful that their was something that made me laugh (even in my head) and broke up the monotony of the day. To me that was cute in an innocent, childlike way (however, if she were my friend or classmate I would politely suggest re-reading certain chapters in the anatomy book lol.)
