No calcuation questions on NCLEX, help!

Hi everyone! I am new here, i just took the NCLEX for the first time yesterday (7th). It was so hard and scary. I had 120 questions, was the first one out of the testing center. AHHHH! AND I didn't get any calculation questions. I never got any questions that I had to use the box with X's, or use anything other than the mouse to click on multiple choice. I only had three med questions in which two were Lasix and the other Digoxin. My questions were all vague and could have been two answers easily. I am going crazy. Hopefully I will know later today. The people at the testing center said to check the site later today.

Has anyone else had an NCLEX experience with no calculation questions? Thanks for any replies!

I went to MCC- the thing I got in the mail was sent on the 9th, arrived on the 10th- has that awful picture they took and says - "(name), an applicant for licensure by the Arizona Board of Nursing, HAS PASSED the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses." I would assume that as quick as that was, we should have our licenses early next week- I'm working at Banner Baywood ED- you?

HURRAY!!!!! I PASSED!!!!! I found out on the internet on Friday. WHEW! I just about lost my mind waiting. I checked the internet all night long the night before I found out! I stayed up until 2am trying to log on to the site. AT 8AM it was there. YEah! I am so relived. I bawled my eyes out just from the relief! THe lord is good!......

I had two others from my class take the NCLEX that day and they too had mostly prioritizing questions, no calculations or meds. I wonder if they are trying to get away from calculations and medical things. I had a ton of nutrition too. It seemed it was everything I could do for the patient, not what the most important thing was either, you had to know about the disorder and how to help the patient. AHHHHHH! OH well. NEver again, you couldn't pay me money to take it again!!

I am so happy that you passed. I hope to be taking the test within the next 2 weeks. I am studying from 4 different sources. I took an online review, and I am using Kaplan, Mosby and lippincott. Please say a prayer for me, I have thus far answered about 3000 questions.

Big CONGRATS to all of you who passed recently!!!

I took my boards in November and it shut of at 75 - but I had to wait almost 2 1/2 weeks to find out because "PA" doesn't participate in Pearson's result notification. I actually found out Thanksgiving morning at work since the PA website updates daily. Now the last 3 folks at my work to take it all found out in 48 hours. Go figure!

I am going to pick my license up today, it is ready. I'm anxious to have license in hand because I work as an LPN right now. I'll be working at Good Sam in the CVICU. Orientation starts next week! I did my preceptorship there and I loved it!!!

Awesome- good luck to you- I also did my preceptorship where I am now working- I'll just wait on my license- they did online verification and have already transferred my job title- woohoo! We did it. :D

I also did not have calculations, just prioritization mostly.

I also had no calculations, none of the new format questions and it shut off at 75. I took my test Tuesday and haven't heard if I passed yet. :confused: I'm hoping what happened to you will happen to me. I hope that's a good sign we have those things in common. Congratulations and hopefully I'll be joining you soon in the great professions of RN's!

I thought the waiting would kill me......I took my test on Jan. 10th...and was getting very nervous!! California is slow....

I just found out tonight that I am a real live RN!!

hi i am a fellow californian who is now on her 10th day of waiting. I had 120 some odd questions. a friend of mine who took it just last monday the15th found out this morning, she too is from california. i am at my last straw, this is the second time i have taken it. I am getting extremely worried. thanks for any input. yours took twelve days you say?
