Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
Just a tip, if you've been meaning to call NMC as well I suggest you use Viber Out. Globe's and Smart's rate to UK is $0.40. My calls averaged 12 minutes. You can top up your Viber $0.99 and the rate is just 85 cents in Pesos. Great eh?
Thanks for the tip petrick!
Regarding the CBT, IELTS, medical, NMC application, and OSCE.. I think all applicants under the NHS (those following the new system already) are looking at the same expenses and in my case, only the OSCE is the one that my employer is willing to shell out first, and then be deducted in my salary after. And regarding POEA and other local fees, I haven't heard of personal expenses for these as well.
THE P40k visa fee is also true for ASC so maybe all or most agencies will really advise you regarding that. So far for me, ill take cbt first then get back with PNI Euromena and discuss this fee further. We don't have any contract bond anyways unlike some agencies my friends applied to.
Hmm. Thank you for the info, bluecobalt. My employer also has only mentioned that OSCE will be shouldered as soon as I get authorization. At least that sheds a bit of light as to the breakdown of expenses in the coming months of the application stage. But none of the agents has advised me of the Php40k, I'd better check it back with them. It has taken me a while to shoulder CBT and the Assessment Fee, that visa fee will also take a toll on my application. I think the only agency offering to shoulder/reimburse everything as of the moment is CTN/IPAMS. Best of luck to us NHS applicants!
What I was told from CTN is that they will subsidize OSCE (I believe 50% if you commit to working 4 contracts w/them) and they will have to pay a fee in the certificate of sponsorship, so the fee for the Visa is on us. We are also responsible to cover the IELTS and CBT. Luckily it's good for 3 years, but sadly there's some changes in UK visas so it's not as easy to be approved :-/
I had a mistake in the application I sent to NMC online. In the post secondary qualification details, I indicated the wrong year in the DATE COMPLETED portion. I emailed NMC about it. Do you think it will delay me? Will they reconsider and will they be the one to automatically change it since it can't be edited once submitted?
Anybody who also made a mistake in the online application stage? Can you pls share your experience.. thanks!
@ kizmwah, Malakite, Kurokocchi, guys I sent some PM's to all of you.
I am under CTN as well and planning to take the CBT any time this July. The new scheme is truly a hassle as I personally know someone who had passed the CBT way back January and is still waiting for her DL. Partly because she was kinda late to submit all the documents. Nonetheless still a long wait. Please keep sharing your experiences here. This thread has been so informative so a big big thanks to all contributors!

That's great news! What trust are you in, Gsimps, if I may ask? Hopefully by this manner, OSCE won't be such a huge mystery looming all UK aspiring nurses :)
Apart from the date you paid the Assessment fee, my agency also told me the date that your references filled it up/the current date you're about to submit the whole stage will be okay. :)
