Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
I had BLS training but it doesn't matter where I got it since it's long expired now. I don't think UK hospitals accept or need those qualifications anyway. If they want you to have certain skills and certifications, they'll train you for it themselves.Anyway, somebody else here got hired by Brighton too? I was gonna pass up the offer to be interviewed by BSUH since I read some bad things about working there, but it was a nice distance away from London, which I find attractive.
Hi... i have my final interview with BSUH on the 23rd...can you tell me some of the bad things working there?

This is the NHS page for BSUH, and as you can see there are many unhappy clients for both hospitals under BSUH, but mostly for Royal Sussex. Now I know that this doesn't really tell us anything about general consensus for these hospitals, but for all of these 9 reviewers to leave ratings not more than 2 stars, it gets you thinking, you know.
Thankfully, I'm assigned to Princess Royal and it seems to be generally more well-received by the public.

Princess Royal Hospital in Telford? What's your agency?

Thanks for the info....i hope i will be placed in Princess Royal...Were you hired byASC? What was the interview like? Im starting to feel the jitters for my upcoming interview:no:
@trollbella
No, the one in West Sussex. I think the one in Telford is under a different trust.

Yeah, ASC's my agency simply because I can't stand others like Omanfil. The interview was very casual and the English interviewers were quite friendly. If you're currently studying for the CBT, try to apply the NMC's values and the 6 Cs into your clinical experience.
Hi guys! I took the test last march 9 - glad to say i passed!!!
I got my results in the evening of the same day. Thank you so much for all the inputs from this thread! Im happily looking at 3 job offers but i think im going under IPAMS-CTN. No word yet of the hospital cuz im still in the assessment stage. So its between me and NMC now. the march and april deployment will be in real good trusts. So im happy with the trusts affiliated with CTN. Not quite sure with the trusts that other agencies are offering - most are outside of London.
about the test, i must say the grammar and spelling can still be worked on. But its not something that stops you from generally understanding the question. Best advice i can give: think in the UK setting. All the topics raised here came out in my exam, in different situations. There are objective and situational questions. Relax when you take the exam. And check your answers after. Thats what i did :)
Regarding the second phase - from the employers ive talked to, you will only fly out once you have a schedule with the OSCE test. And it was mentioned a few pages ago - yes, without a pin you will be paid less than a full registered nurse (band 5).
Just for comparing, band 4 pay for one of my offers started at £18k/yr. but i found CTN to have a higher offer, so i went with them. Plus the perks are really attractive.
Anyone out there applying with IPAMS-CTN as well? Pm me up!
Good day, can anyone share the additional review materials tru email? please?.. im scheduled to take the test this coming march 18... please help.. thank you... Godbless.. here is my email add... [email protected]

ASC is a very good agency.. Very organized.. That's why it's a shame that they don't have any employer from london right now. If they did, i would have went with them.. Im with omanfil scheduled for an interview with King's College Hosp. I need to work in London hahaha! My bf's waiting hahahaha
congrats to those who recently passed!!
