Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
another dilemma im facing with employment or referral letter
see, ive been working as a nurse in our hospital for three years, i was first assigned to emergency department for two years then i was transferred to dialysis after one year. I asked my dialysis nurse incharge to fill up my employer letter, but the date she put in the when she supervised me was only last year. would this contradict the date of employment that i put? My supervisor wrote june 2015, cause thats the date she supervised me, but my employment date was july 2013. is there any problem with the dates?

Maam/Sir, let your senior nurse from ER dept also fill up the reference form as one of your references . Goodluck.
Would that be fine? Cause I also ask my senior from my previous employer a reference letter? So from whom i need to get a reference letter? One from previous work and one from present work or two from present work is enough already?
you would need 1 reference form from your present employer, and 1 from the previous hospital you worked with. it is perfectly fine if your HD supervisor wrote the date he/she has overseen you (not the date your work as a nurse in that institution commenced), because if you read the form carefully, it's asking for the date that that referee actually supervised you.
Hi Sapphire, a great book to use is Nursing Knowledge and practice by Peate, Wild and Nair.also, the Royal marsden manual is great for the clinical skills stations...
Have an excellent working knowledge of the nursing process too - assess, plan, implement, evaluate. This is the foundation for all uk nursing assessments.
hope that helps you
