Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

@andy_rn

I researched about the accommodations there and found a flat as low as £180. I still have to conduct my ocular when I get there though.

Wow the hospital is really preparing you guys for battle, when are you guys going to take the OSCE? Can't wait to schedule mine once I'm there. ^_^

I have packed a couple of winter clothes, don't want just these items to occupy the space of my luggage, haha! How much pocket money did you bring?

Looking forward to meet y'all!

that 180 might be far from here. :) anyway, im still waiting for my DL. we are expected to take the osce after 3 months.. :) are you staying here in bonham carter as well?

Just do ur best, and God will do the rest. Let go Let God.

You will pass if u do your part. Do not put the blame in others. Those are things out of our control. What we can control at the moment is our attitude towards it. Patience is not just about how long you wait but also the attitude while waiting. Hehe I know youll make it, I believe in you, the fact that ur here searching for answers means u r an eager person to win ur fight! Hehe Gbu

I also believe in this.

Just a thought to ponder.

You should study like no prayers can save you, and pray like no studies can save you. Makes sense right?

This just reminds us that we need to give our best in everything we do. If we have done that already, Let GOD do the rest. Good luck everyone.

Hi. I am about to book my CBT and reading these posts at least give me a hint/idea on what should I expect and I am so scared right now to be honest. 130 pounds is not easy money. And it's just so weird on how the agencies/recruiters pressure us to take it as soon as possible when they know that it is not an easy exam! Shame!

And they even lied to me, telling me that the passing rate is usually 90%-ish! So I thought it's just very basic! But according to the thread here, it's not!

Now I am beginning to be frustrated. I haven't even taken the exam yet but I feel like my spirits are down.

Hey mcqueen. I took the cbt last April, and I only has been a member of this thread since August. My advice is you should not let anything you've read from this frustrate you. Just like what others have said, the previous posts were already history. I believe that the NMC has already done their part in making the cbt more friendly and easier for those who are yet to take it. Any exam poses its own difficulty and flaw, but if you let all news you've heard come to you and ruin your senses, nothing will happen except leave you feeling helpless.

When I was the one in your shoes, five months ago, I did everything in order to pass. I know you will be able to do that. Just relax, take deep breaths and start with reading. Don't forget to pray. :)

Hi. I've been following this thread since I started my application. It helped me a lot (and might I add, people here are very helpful). Luckily, I was able to get hold of my CoS last August and I was able to arrive here last week of August (Pheww!). I am now working as a band 3 (HCA) while I await for my OSCE. I have been booked second week of October and is really anxious about it. Any tips? I think I might have read somewhere that @kizmwah did the test several days ago.. how did it go? I really hope and pray that you pass it :)

Thank you and wishing all of us the best!

Hi lot888,

I've sent you a pm! 😉

What was the title of the position did you put for the doctor in the health declaration? Is medical doctor is sufficinet or should i just indicate it as medical practitioner?

Reading this thread really helped me a lot. I took the cbt test today and recorded a pass first attempt. to all those preparing for the cbt take all the advise given, all nmc codes related material ,infection control, the royal marsden manual and allcase studies given by nmc code. remember to put God first in all you do above all. Thanks lots guys.

Specializes in Renal/Hemodialysis.

Malakite

I indicated the position as Medical Director (since the MD who evaluated me was also the owner of the hospital) plus the area of specialization (e.g. Cardio, Nephro). You might also want to ask your queries to the agency where we are both affiliated as they are very helpful and prompt in answering their applicants' questions. I also had them check my documents before sending them to the NMC.

ASC took care of the filling out of the declaration of good health for us. I don't even know what they put in there. o_o

The doctor was our hospital retainer.

Hi. Wow. Thank you for this. I am so pressured right now because my parents really can't wait for me to have a job, that if they can put me in a box and ship me to the UK, they will!

And yes I need to spend more time with God so he can lighten my load. Thank you.

Hello,

You'll do great! Almost all of us here will have to get through to that. It's only the beginning for you, some nurses from here have been processing their application for nearly two years. This certainly won't be an easy battle but it's gonna be worth it. Patience is a virtue😉 Study hard and most of all pray hard!🙏🏻
