Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
Hi everyone.I have been following this post since page 1.. and with everyone's help here I got really good pointers regarding the CBT exam. I took it yesterday, 18th of September and passed! God is really amazing.
I have paid the £140 right after and downloaded the required forms. And honestly, I am left in a daze. Can you please help me with regards to the full assessment phase? It would be a great help!
First off:
1. For the declaration of health, I am planning to have it done by the company physician of Philips Electronics. I am not affliated to them though. I only worked as a part time company nurse at their office sometime last year. My dilemma is that the doctor doesnt have her own dry seal or wet stamp.. can we use the company's stamp instead? The Philips insigna.
2.for the prc document. Should I go directly to the main office or i have to go back to my province where I registered for it? Will they be the one to send the document?
3. For the employer reference. The hospital seal will suffice right? What if the hospital does not have a seal what can I do? Will the trodat or self inking stamp of the senior nurse be enough?
I am aware that my questions have been answered before but I am still left confused. Please help me. I need it badly.

1st of all..keep calm and breathe..
Take it òne step at a time.
1. Declaration of health. Im really not sure about that, maybe try asking some other pips here. What i did in mine was when i did my medical, i let the physician who did it fill out the form, the diagnostic center have their stamp.
2. For the prc, i am not sure (im not helpful) but maybe try asking the nearest prc branch you have first. If other peolle can answer here then better.
3. For the employer ref, our hospital has a dry seal stamp, maybe they have. And again, I am not sure if trodats will be fine.
Sorry for the vague answers. I just share my experience maybe in some way it can help. Godbless and congrats! What hospital are you employed in uk..soon?

Firstly, congratulations about your pass. ^_^
Secondly, I know it can be overwhelming to wrap your head around the requirements at first, but trust me they aren't that difficult to comply. Do you not have an agency to ask about the procedure, though?
1. Do you not have a physician you can ask in your hospital? If not, then does this company doctor have a letterhead/personal prescription paper? You can use that. I'm not sure if you need a supplemental declaration stating that the doctor doesn't have a seal, however. I bet some people here can answer that question more accurately.
2. It doesn't matter which branch you go so long as they offer registration verification services. Yes, they'll be the one to send the forms, but if you want to make sure they reach NMC you have the option to pay them for courier service.
3. The hospital dry seal/stamp is valid. I'm not sure if the nurse's personal stamp is acceptable, though. You may have to provide another declaration if you can't provide an official seal on your forms.
@Keepthefaith
Hello,
Worrying won't help you. Just do it one step at a time.
1. The declaration of health can be filled out by any doctor expect OB-Gynes. With the stamp, mine was stamped by the doctor's trodat (with their name, license number, specialisation/position).Some of the nurses from here, had theirs with the doctor's personal stamp but make sure they'll write 'Medical Officer' as their position in the form.
2. For PRC, any regional branch or the main office would certainly do it for you. Upon submission of the form, they'll ask you to come back after two weeks. Then they'll ask you to choose which courier would you like to utilise. I had mine sent through them via FedEx but I paid php2,300.00
3. And about the dry seal from your employer, I don't think the personal stamp from the senior nurse will be valid. It has to be the hospital's dry seal. But if they don't have the seal, just like mine, the chief of hospital shoul make a letter-headed note explaining that an official dry seal doesn't exist. Just a simple two to three sentence letter would do. Never had any issues with it as I already have my DL.
God bless😉
@andy_rn
I researched about the accommodations there and found a flat as low as £180. I still have to conduct my ocular when I get there though.
Wow the hospital is really preparing you guys for battle, when are you guys going to take the OSCE? Can't wait to schedule mine once I'm there. ^_^
I have packed a couple of winter clothes, don't want just these items to occupy the space of my luggage, haha! How much pocket money did you bring?
Looking forward to meet y'all!

Thankyou so much for replying! All of you have been a great help. That cleared up things for me a lot. Thankyou thankyou. :) :)
@Kurokocchi unfortunately the agency i'm with is new to this also.. its their first time to partner with the hospital in the UK so we are the first ones that they'll handle under the new system.
@lloydsabijon i'm with Spire Healthcare. Will be based at Spire St. Anthony's Hospital in North Cheam, Surrey I'm quite excited actually.
@lg_loveliegrace, RN yeah that's also the case for our hospital,we don't have a dry seal. Thankyou for the tip!

Hi Ms KeeptheFaith30. Would you mind exchanging emails since I read your post and I found out that we have the same employer. Do you know Ms. *******?
Hi. I am about to book my CBT and reading these posts at least give me a hint/idea on what should I expect and I am so scared right now to be honest. 130 pounds is not easy money. And it's just so weird on how the agencies/recruiters pressure us to take it as soon as possible when they know that it is not an easy exam! Shame!
And they even lied to me, telling me that the passing rate is usually 90%-ish! So I thought it's just very basic! But according to the thread here, it's not!
Now I am beginning to be frustrated. I haven't even taken the exam yet but I feel like my spirits are down.
