NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Specializes in ER, Med-Surg, OB.
Friends, any idea how to get the pearsonvue site where we can have the practice test to try how it will look like the actual cbt exam...?

I don't remember, so I don't think I can help much, but you click the one with Adult-Rn practice test (it will look like you have to order or buy it). Select that and you'll get the practice test and you don't have to pay for anything. XD It only has 5 questions (1 critical). XD

They're there to test not just if you know your nursing stuff, but if you are as decent a person as you are a nurse. My friend didn't pass her first interview because she got too comfortable since the questions were easy and the panel were so friendly. She told me she said things she shouldn't have.

Anyway, just apply the things you've learned as a nurse thus far, remember to put patient safety first, dignity next. They're also particular about documentation, medication errors, dealing with conflict, and escalating concerns. No need for hardcore studying.

Big thanks kurokocchi.. Im a bit shaky and excited.

Thanks for the heads up. Ill be in touch with thread/forum from now on coz i am starting my journey to u.k..

excited

Thanks jocasanova.. Any tips on what to wear?

they will send you an email informing you that they have assessed your documents. if they have seen something that needs to be resubmitted, they will inform you to check you NMC application account for the feedback. upon logging in and viewing your current application, on the upper part you will see a table indicating the documents you need to resubmit and their comments on why it should be resubmitted (e.g. more than 3 months NBI clearance, unclear birth cert)

Omanfil. :)

Andy, what hospital are you applying for again? Did you receive your COS already?

Thanks jocasanova.. Any tips on what to wear?

usually the agency tells you the dress code, but if they haven't mentioned anything wear something formal to make an impression.

Guys! does anyone know what's the passing rate of cbt? and numbers/rate who passed? thanks

Guys, i took the cbt exam today at 10 am and finished it at 12 noon. At 2 pm , i checked my pearsonvue acct and click the exam history and my status stated there Pass... Is that the result.? Nmc has not yet emailed me if i pass or what... so excited nmc to inform me.

TOC - Test of Competence

CBT - Computer based test

OSCE - Objective Structured Clinical Examination

Step 1 - online application. (IELTS results needed)

Step 2 - schedule for TOC1 (CBT)

Step 3 - once you passed the TOC1 (CBT), you can now start the registration in NMC (its documentation of work experience and others)

Step 4 - wait for your Decision Letter (usually states about TOC2-OSCE)

step 5 - take the TOC2-OSCE in UK

CONGRATULATIONS! =)

the passing score is 60% of the total items, but you need to perfect all critical questions. unfortunately, you wont know which one is a critical question and which one isnt. send me a msg for more details
