Hi, I am planning on moving within the next 6 months to central Jersey. I would love to work at RWJUH. I have sent in my resume, but have not heard anything yet. Do you know if they are still hiring? What is the starting salary? Thanks.:balloons:

You might want to check back with RWJUH re: hiring. They have had to use alot of agency again lately so maybe they need more nurses.

Curiosity; What VA do you work at & what state? In Michigan, it is a lot less for RN BSN c that experience>>>

VHNJHCS VISON 3 but of course the locality pay will be different. We have ours based on the tri-state area NJ, NY & Deleware. I think the only higher VISON Is in California but I could be wrong.

I've noticed how interested people are in salaries..and to get a better understanding of what you would be making try salary.com They compare your job title with the location of where you work, and then compare it to the national average. It won't tell you exactly what your hourly pay would be but it's something interesting to check out!

For people that have been asking about certain hospitals I can tell you that my aunt is a charge nurse at JERSEY SHORE MEDICAL CENTER and makes approx. $58/hr. per diem as well. Has been there for about 14 years and told me after I get out of nursing school I would most likely start out at $27/hr days $32/nights. I'm not sure how accurate it is at the present time but that's what I was told!

I'm a new grad at Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton and I'm starting at $25 an hour, although I work 7p-7a, so I make $25 from 7p-11p but from 11p-7a I'm making $29 an hour with the shift differential plus free benefits. After I've been there a year (and I've been there 6 months now) I'll get bumped up to $29 an hour and thus $33 an hour with the shift differential and they pay for my benefits, so that's an extra $50+ a paycheck each week.

Does anyone know what is the base pay for a new RN in St.Mary's Hospital ( Hoboken University Medical Center ) in Hoboken , NJ ?

Any info good /bad on it ?

thanks a lot:roll

Hi,

Just read this thread and saw that most postings are several years old; anyone have updates for Monmouth County Hospitals/Red Bank (Riverview)/Freehold(CentraState)? I believe they are all Magnet Hospitals. Thanks for any info you may have.

A met a nurse from Hackensack University Medical Center,. and she told me some nurses are doing $35 -$40 per.....8hr shifts there. Maybe someone here can confirm or deny this.

Meridian still starts new nurses at $24/hour. It hasn't changed in 3 or 4 years. Riverview Medical, Jersey Shore Medical, and Ocean Medical are part of Meridian. I think they give you an extra $1 per hour if you have your BSN. Also, shift differential is an additional $5/hour.

I didn't bother applying to any of their hospitals for RN jobs.
