Hi there! Just wanted to get in conctact with other applicants who are applying to the Scholar Practioner Program at Nipissing University.

We could use this thread to talk about different components of the application.

Cheers :)

For sure! Thanks :)

Hows everyone feeling about the interviews? How is your prep going? :)

Not sure what or how to prepare! Does anyone have any insight to other questions they may ask? I'm also wondering like is it bad if we don't use the full 3 mins to talk about NI? Seems like a long time haha

I'm just practicing how I feel about myself in the mirror and with a friend who I feel comfortable around! I don't think it will will be "bad" if you don't use the whole 3 mins -- as long as you think you have communicated your thoughts precisely. It also says in the invitation email to arrive 15 mins before for a preparatory activity..? Not sure what that means! Lol

Hey everyone,

I have a Nipissing interview this Monday at 11:30 and I'm starting to panic a little bit. Aside from the 3 minute narrative inquiry discussion, what else can I expect? What kinds of questions are they going to ask? I've never had a healthcare program interview before so I have no idea what more I can do to prep. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hey! Just responded to you in the previous thread! í ½í¸Š As I said before, there seems to be a "prep activity" before our 3min inquisition. I think you good if you have a solid answer about NI, your good! Maybe just prepare some volunteer or work experience that you think is relatable to SPP or will help you in the program? Other than that, I think just carrying yourself well and practicing the interview basics you will be fine!

What research did you do for NI? Do you last the whole 3 mins!

Thanks!

I'm also very anxious for the interview, it's so hard to know what to expect! For the 3 minute NI question I don't think it's a huge deal if you don't use the entire 3 minutes, as long as you are concise I think that you will be fine :) my answer is about 2 minutes and 30 seconds when I time myself

Nice! What are your ideas for how NI will unfold in SPP -- that part is kinda hard bc we don't really know anything about the program too much. Im kinda just winging that sections.

I noticed that all the people who have posted in this forum and other forums that their interviews are for March 12th at various times -- does anyone know if other people got interviews at different times? What is the location of your interview?

Asking because I am the trying to see if two or more people have interviews at the same time -- I.e March 12 @ 10am; if they are going to incorporate a "group interview" -- just a assumption but I am intrigued why most people have interviews on the 12th :)

I'm also winging that section I'm currently trying to do more research and come up with a better response haha

I actually got in touch with someone whose currently enrolled in the SPP program and she said that the interviews are conducted with two interviewers from the institution that you chose as your first pick. She also said that last year there were 500 applicants, 100 got an interview and 44 were accepted!

For the NI stuff I basically just researched what it is on Wikipedia and tried to make an answer from that! Still unsure about how it can be used in the SPP program though, so I need to try and think of something to say for that part. What did you do?
