Hi there! Just wanted to get in conctact with other applicants who are applying to the Scholar Practioner Program at Nipissing University.
We could use this thread to talk about different components of the application.
Cheers :)
Thanks for responding! And is it largely self-directed or are there classes and lectures to attend as well. I enjoy self-learning to a certain point but would like some direction as well lol.
From what I read on previous forums -- there are classes to attend -- no lectures as it is only one class size. But the inclass portion is only for a little bit and practicum/reflection/self-directed learning are the main components.
Is there only one day of interviews? Just March 12th? Thanks! Good luck to all :)
I believe interviews run from March 12- 23rd! I wonder if they give out interview times to people who submitted their stuff first so just be patient! I submitted most things in November and think I got first time slot on the 12th lol. Good luck!

I think the same thing! Because most people are saying that they have their interview on the 12th! Lol

They do run from March 12th to the 23rd. However, they didn't give out the earlier interviews to people who submitted first. I put in my OUAC application on Februrary 1st (the last day to apply) and had to express mail my application from Toronto to North Bay and it made it there on February the 5th. I recieved an interview on March 12th at 9:30 A.M. So I'm assuming that's the first time slot on the first day of interviews. That being said, I didn't submit my application until last minute and still got an early interview. :)

The placement options are top tier. The program is very self directed so if your an independent learner, it will be something you enjoy! I personally like being in charge of my learning and work well with self-deadlines. I like that the program is Toronto based, close to home. And I like that the schedule of the program -- I believe they split time between being in class for a few weeks or months, then you are in placement for the next weeks/months.
