Hi there! Just wanted to get in conctact with other applicants who are applying to the Scholar Practioner Program at Nipissing University.
We could use this thread to talk about different components of the application.
Cheers :)

Hey! I've applied to Nipissing SPP for 2018. I just wanted to clarify how they are exactly calculating our gpa? Everywhere I've looked it's slightly different. Any clarification would be great :)
They calculate off the 10 best full credits!
Okay good that's what I figured but the package I received in the mail said it was calculated on the best 10 full credits taken from the first 25 courses that were completed but that seems weird to me, most schools take the best 10 full credits from your last 2 years of university not the first.

I think when they say first 25 courses it just means within your first degree? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, I will be applying to Nipissing Fall 2018! I am applying to a couple schools in Ontario but I am an out of province applicant.
Yes i believe its within your first degree! I was super confused too but its actually beneficial to us since they use all our grades :)
Have you sent in your supplemental? Best of luck :)
Ohh ok that makes me feel better :) yes all of my supplementary materials have been received I just have to write the CASPer test this Sunday and before we know it interview invitations will be sent out... fingers crossed for us all!
Awesome, mine too! I feel like they are really on top of processing all the applications this year compared to previous years as I've read on older threads. My webadvisor updated very quickly! Do you know if they will email interview offers or mail them out? Thanks!
Yes it definitely seems like their more organized this year which is great! I'm pretty sure we get an email and a letter in the mail!
Did you apply to other compressed nursing programs as well?
I actually didn't! The prereqs for other programs didn't match any I had so I choose Nipissing not only because I like their unorthodox style but because it required me to only take 3 more courses not like 6-8 which others did! Hbu?! :)
Im Tamara btw! I live in Vaughan, 22 years old and currently work within the developmental service industry and graduated from McMaster in June 2016!
Ohh gotcha, makes sense! I applied to Queen's, Trent and Western as well, however Nipissing is my number one pick so I'm really hoping I get in!
My names Haleigh and I'm from Kingston, I graduated from Queen's Univeristy in June 2017 and I'm currently working as a pharmacy technician!
Awesome! I hope the best for both of us :) its nice having someone to connect to who is going through the same thing! Let me know if you get any updates on your standing!
