Hi guys, I've been accepted into Langara's and KPU's nursing programs for fall 2024 and am looking for insight from RN's or current students of these programs. I've completed my pre reqs at KPU so I am familiar with the school but have not been to Langara.
KPU logistically is the better choice for my life for the next 3 years but I am wondering if there is a reason why one school would be better than the other. If anyone has any info please lmk! My only concern with KPU is that I cannot find many answers/info online
My pros and cons:
KPU Pros: 15 min commute, 3 year program with summers off to work, cheaper tuition
KPU Cons: Newer program/not as established
Langara Pros: Well-established program with lots of available resources
Langara Cons: 1.5 hour commute, 3 year program with no time off to work and save, expensive tuition

From your circumstances, quality of life sounds better with KPU so I'd go with that. At the end of the day, both schools will train and educate you to be a proficient nurse, and hospitals do not care which school you graduated from, what kind of grades you got etc., as long as you pass the NCLEX and achieve your BSN degree, you are good to go..
