Hi! Thought it would be helpful to make a thread for students planning on applying for UBC's Nursing Program for 2025!

Hey guys, I'm also applying and finishing up the application. Just curious, to answer the questions in the text boxes which format did you use and did you guys include publications?

Hello!I'm also applying this year! I'm still working on the first draft of my application and had my Casper test on November 19th. It was such a weird experience, and five minutes were definitely not enough to answer three vague questions. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to finding out my quartile score 🙂

Hi all.
Just trying to get some census here. I applied and having second thoughts. I'm not confident I won't get in due to my grades being pretty poor. 2.8-2.9 GPA for my pre-reqs, and 2.7 for my bachelors. I have three years of health care experience and 2ish years of health care volunteer. I had some personal issues that would explain my poor grades, but I'm not sure if UBC will just say "tough ***, REJECTED"
I'd be more inclined to just blindly apply, but after all the fees, it's about $300 in total. What do you guys think?

Hey everyone! I'm glad I found this thread, I just finished my supplemental application to UBC-Van, I have a bachelor of arts degree from McMaster in Ontario, and I've been an LPN for 2 years! I'm just working on my human anatomy and physiology course through Athabasca, would love to connect with any of you! Best of luck to us in this application cycle, anyone know the general acceptance rates last year for GPA?
I am also taking anatomy and physiology through Athabasca! I think the average GPA was 3.8? They had around 500 applicants last year and have 120 spots in the program.

hey! I was wondering if any past applicants know what my chances of getting in to the program is. I don't have a previous degree but my OGPA is predicted to be 4.26, and the last 30 when calculated would be close to 4.33 if not 4.33 . However, I have just around the minimum credit requirement and I don't have any long term volunteer experiance. I've volunteered for Big Brothers for less than a year (8 months) and recently began volunteering at a homeless shelter. I am also currently working to get my mental health certificate. I'm really worried about my supplemental :(((
I don't think this is correct. Here are the stats for cGPA Average from the official website. I couldn't find the info on the number of applicants. 2015: 80% 2019: 82% 2022: 86% 2023: 82.4% 2024: 80.8%

The average GPA might not be, but I asked the admissions guy about acceptance number and applicants last round and this is what he told me.
