Nipissing SPP 2018

Hi there! Just wanted to get in conctact with other applicants who are applying to the Scholar Practioner Program at Nipissing University.

We could use this thread to talk about different components of the application.

Their top number is 50 people, to have 100 or less in the program at a time between the two years. I believe that currently there are 48 or 49 second years, and then 42 of us first years. But they accept up to 50 people. Hope that helps! :)

Well I'm the program, and that's what they told us during our first week of classes when we asked. They need to keep a quota kind of for the program to run each year.

When do you think they will send out acceptances?

Last year, I found out I got in on May 1st through Web Advisor! Then they sent my acceptance letter a couple weeks later in a super nice package! I think they sometimes send two waves of acceptances out though, depending on their decisions (I don't know when the second wave would be if they do decide to do that though).

Yes, we're all one big family actually, I love it! We're very supportive of each other and we have get togethers every so often where we go out to the bars, or play board games, or go out to restaurants or go bowling! Each of the faculty members knows us by name and they care about our learning.

LOL gah I can't imagine waiting until May to hear back!! The wait is already killing me haha

Did you also have your interviews in march? I believe when I was looking through earlier threads the interviews seemed to be later. in the year.. I could be wrong though! If that is true and our interviews were earlier maybe there could be a chance we hear in April? Having trouble waiting as well!

Yeah I was actually thinking the same thing. In the forum from last year it did seem they had interviews scheduled later than we had ours so totally possible!
