I, too, had a nice surprise for Nurse's Day (celebrated today since next week is Teacher Appreciation). I was given a soup and salad luncheon (yummy!) and a nice gift, but the best thing was that the staff in charge of our parties, sending flowers, etc. sent notes home to parents asking for each class to bring stuff to replenish my stock (water bottles, Ziplock bags, drinking cups, peppermints, Bandaids). Each class came down and presented me with their donated items and lots of hugs!!! It was so sweet and the truly the best thing I could have received!!! Small schools are awesome!!!
Happy Nurse's Day to all my fellow school nurses!!!

I came in this morning to a nurses week gift from the secretaries. They said they knew it was next week, but they won't see me again until mid week (I rotate 5 elementary and 1 preschool site with the district RN). They said they appreciate everything we do. It made my day.
