Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Thanks and best of luck to everyone!

I went back to review 2018 thread and they were applicant who received finalist notification on 09/12 and were awarded. So don’t lose hope.

Thanks Paula-DNP and MemphisFNP for the words of encouragement. Still hoping that more award notifications will be sent out. Work at federally qualified health look-alike center with site score of 16 for mental health.

HRSA site had scheduled site maintenance announcement for today from 10-2pm. Logged into portal and application status still shows under review. Didn't know if anybody else's application status had been updated lately?

I received my NHSC COI on 09/04. Fingers crossed and waiting for the much anticipated second signature. Don’t give up, they are still coming out!

FNP at a FQHC with a score of 17

I applied for NHSC lrp. Received a credit check June 6,2019. Haven’t heard anything else and my FQhc was a 21 when i applied and a 26 as of August.! And I come from a disadvantaged background... I’m shocked I haven’t heard anything back

I’m shocked too, that’s a high FQHC score. COI’s are still going out so keep your fingers crossed.

Got the counter signature today. One step closer.

Thanks! My toes are crossed too. This is giving me anxiety !

Does anyone think they accept or deny By state or randomly? Like is it possible they go by states ... just something That came across my mind

Starting to think there's no way to predict who gets awarded a contract and who doesn't. Received a credit check on 6/11 and nothing since. Work at a site in AL that was reclassified as a federally qualified health center look-alike in August- score 16 for mental health remained the same though.

I have heard they go by disadvantaged background, then FQHC score until money runs out. But who knows for sure.

And what’s crazy about the process is that even when they deny an application, they don’t tell you why. It could be due to insufficient or improper documentation, low FQHC score and they ran out of funds before your application, but it sure would be helpful to know the exact reason.

Anyway lets try to stay positive. A lot can happen between now and 09/30.
