Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Yup, mine shows under review still as well. Both our sites had changes in August- wondering if that has anything to do with not receiving award.

And yes, have pretty much given up hope at this point. Looking at getting second job to make payments

JG17 any updates on application status? Mine is still under review, but coworker received notification of award this past Saturday.

Same, I just logged on. My worst fear is being denied throughout the last days. Maybe there is still hope. If I may ask , what state is your office located?

Okay I’m in Florida. I may call and ask to see if they send of acceptance or denials based off location as well

I tried emailing them to ask what, if any, information was missing from my application in order to not make the same mistake again next application cycle. Only response I got was that help desk had no access to applications and I would receive final decision no later than 9/30/19.

But please let me know what you find out

My rep told me they thinks it random after the first two factors of your hpsa score and coming from a disadvantaged background. So we shall see. I’ll let you know if anything changes

That's weird because 2 MDs I work with got approved and neither from disadvantaged background, and organization HPSA score is 16

Based on selection criteria your application should have been awarded before those

Exactly, my application says mine is a 21 and I come from a disadvantaged background , so who knows

It’s sad that I log on to check it at least 4 times a day, maybe more. Because someone said they didn’t receive the notification first

JG17- when you called did you speak with regular representative who answers phone line or to staff member assigned to FL who reviews your application?
