2019 NHSC Loan Repayment Program

Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Regular rep. I don’t even think you can reach the actual staff that works on the applications

I don’t think anyone on the outside really knows for sure how award recipients are determined. I wish there was more transparency in the process.

JG17 did anyone else at your organization apply and get awarded a contract?

I’m not sure. But three others that I’m aquatinted with have in the pass 2 years

Yes And maybe it’s been 3 years because two of them have completed the contract.

No, figure all contracts have been awarded so not getting hopes up anymore

Nope I’m just basically getting prepared for the denial letter on the last day of the month

But I feel like they would sent out the denials ASAP. I’ve applied to the Nursing Corp before and received a denial super quick (out of funding was the reason). I just can’t imagine they are holding denials for the last day “just because”. I am also waiting. Site score 21. Fingers crossed and praying daily.

I really wish that wasn’t the case but I read something on another thread that the last couple days they send them out. Which makes sense because the call line will be ringing off the hook up into the deadline because people would want answers. By this time I’d think they were out of funds but I’ll cross my fingers
