Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Just got my denial letter- reason listed was insufficient funding to approve every qualified applicant

I applied for Nurse Corps LAST year and denied. I applied for NHSC THIS year and denied. Yes, my credit check was in June. ?

Denied. It sucks , but maybe I’ll get better luck next time. Not sure how I wasn’t selected being that I come from a disadvantaged background and high score of 21 at the time of my application but better luck next time

Did you submit birth cert, not DL and all documents aa PDF files? Those were 2 reasons i was denied

Did they tell you in your denial email the reasons? All I was told was that there wasn’t enough funding.

Yeah I work at a 21 score facility as well.

No they only say FUNDING limited. I was denied first tear I applied...I read instructions carefully this time. That's what I realized I did wrong.

I read every direction carefully and submitted everything exactly as they asked and was still denied. So who knows. It’s exhausting.

Not only is the application process exhausting but I'm frustrated that stated selection and funding seem inconsistent. Know several individuals who were awarded NHSC contracts at look- alike FQHC with site score of 16, and they most assuredly don't come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
