I don’t think anyone on the outside really knows for sure how award recipients are determined. I wish there was more transparency in the process.

And what’s crazy about the process is that even when they deny an application, they don’t tell you why. It could be due to insufficient or improper documentation, low FQHC score and they ran out of funds before your application, but it sure would be helpful to know the exact reason. Anyway lets try to stay positive. A lot can happen between now and 09/30.

I have heard they go by disadvantaged background, then FQHC score until money runs out. But who knows for sure.

I’m shocked too, that’s a high FQHC score. COI’s are still going out so keep your fingers crossed.

I went back to review 2018 thread and they were applicant who received finalist notification on 09/12 and were awarded. So don’t lose hope.

No. Based on comments from past cycles, some people never got a credit check and not awarded. I think if you have for example incomplete documentation, your application is denied without a credit check. I received my COI yesterday and my credit check was 6/10. So they should be getting to your batch soon.

Yes. One credit check on 6/10/19. I hear they send out finalist letter up till mid September, so keep checking. Good luck.

Me too, I just saw the email. I’m in shock! I know it’s not a guarantee but I’m happy to still be in the running.
