2019 NHSC Loan Repayment Program

Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Congratulations to those who received award! No email from HRSA and program portal still has application status as under review. Did both of you receive credit check?

Yes. One credit check on 6/10/19. I hear they send out finalist letter up till mid September, so keep checking. Good luck.

Same here! My credit check was also in June! I heard that emails will continue to go out throughout September.... they aren’t finished notifying! ??

Does anyone know if they pull credit reports on all applicants? Had credit check done 6/11

No. Based on comments from past cycles, some people never got a credit check and not awarded. I think if you have for example incomplete documentation, your application is denied without a credit check.

I received my COI yesterday and my credit check was 6/10. So they should be getting to your batch soon.

My application still says under review! What could that mean at this point given that it’s already September?

Which program did you apply for? Applied for NHSC and my application still shows under review as well, have pretty much given up checking portal daily at this point. It's too depressing

Don’t give up! They said they will be working on this loan until the end of September....does your facility have high scores?

Certified as federally qualified health center look-alike in August of this year. Site score 16 for mental health using HPSA search, but 19 based on address search. Not entirely sure which score NHSC program uses to determine funding preferences.

I think just sit tight!! They are doing the loan reviews all month! It’s only the 4th so..... my fingers are crossed for you!!!
