2019 NHSC Loan Repayment Program

Hello everyone! I applied for the 2019 cycle of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. I noticed that threads have been started every year for the application process. I am a first time applicant and hoping to connect with others who have applied for the NHSC LRP and we can all share our updates here.

Did the ask you to send any more documents or anything? I also got the credit check back in June!

I feel discouraged knowing someone that applied for the same loan already has the COI countersigned! ?

I applied for 3 different programs so I’m not sure which credit check was for which program but I had one credit check on April 11 and one on May 29

I was under review until they sent the COI on August 6. I signed on August 7, and then received the countersignature on 8/22.

I didn’t have to send in any additional documents.

I wouldn’t lose hope yet! From reading past forums, it seems that they award this program primarily in August / September.

I have heard from colleagues that they send awards out in batches. Fingers crossed that the rest of us are in a different batch!

I have a buddy that also applied and she got the credit check also in June and was asked to send a marriage certificate from her first marriage and with her current marriage.. but hasn’t heard anything further.....

Has anyone called the customer service phone line to ask if all award notifications have been sent out or if some programs are still reviewing applications? Does everyone who applies receive a credit check?

I literally just got a finalist email for the COI ( contract of interest)!!! Check your mail!

Me too, I just saw the email. I’m in shock! I know it’s not a guarantee but I’m happy to still be in the running.
