The location for NGCSU ASN program is North Metro College in Acworth. I just got the information in the mail today.
Thank Goodness! Now I can finally proceed with my plans.
1. Thanks for the info about the Leadership class, that should put me at six credit. Do you think if I take an extra class, say Chemistry my load would be too heavy? Considering I have 3 kids, husband, and a house waiting.2. So, Eagle Girl, what have/did you do the 2nd semester regarding credits? Or what is the solution? Anybody?
3. Regarding Car Pool, can we start planning. Thanks. ----You are all great!!

Lisa, I have already taken Nutrition -- If they will accept my credits.
I took the leadership class. I personally wouldn't want to take chemistry with nursing classes, but I had some classmates that had to take other classes and they managed. Most of them did not have the responsibilities that you have though! One of my close friends in my class has three kids and she said the nursing class is all she could have possibly managed. The leadership class requires VERY LITTLE reading (only 1 or 2 articles that we discuss in class)! I just remember how time consuming chemistry was for me and I don't think I could have done it!
Shurky: They haven't let you know if they accepted your nutrition??? That class is only offered every Fall Semester and it's supposed to be taken 1st semester. They should have told you at advisement if you needed to register for it. Where and how long ago did you take nutrition??

Thanks for the adv. I am not going to take Chemistry, I already have enough on my plate. I guess I needed to hear from someone else. I took Nutrition at Floyd College last Summer - Online.
I am sure that they will accept that nutrition class. I talked with the nursing department before I even began nursing school at NGCSU and they advised me to go ahead and take the class if it was offered at Perimeter (where I was taking my prerequisites). Unfortunately, Perimeter didn't offer nutrition, so I had to take it 1st semester of nursing school. I was told that NGCSU will accept credits from any college part of the University system of Georgia. I graduated from college almost 15 years ago and they accepted all of my credits previously earned! :)
I am so gald my summer classes are finally over!!
I am needing a break before Nursing classes start. Just enough time to get the kids organized for school and then maybe a few days to myself. I sure could use a couple added weeks but......I am just happy I get to start Nursing school this fall.
I can't wait to meet everyone on the 17th.
Hi Lisa!!!!! Happy Birthday, a few days early.

I also completed my world history class yesterday, boy 'am I glaaaaad. My teacher sucked the fun out the class. Back to Nursing now, (1) did anybody buy Kozier/Fundamentals of Nursing Pkg yet? I have checked the ISBN number in Barnes and Nobles, and all sites, and nothing. I called the bkstore and its seems they are the only one's who have it. (2) How much did it cost you'all for Fischback/Manual of Lab &Diagnostic test, and where? Thanks.

Hi Shukry,
The Fundamentals package was $151.15 (plus tax). There are 3 books - the huge textbook, the Techniques in clinical Nursing and the study guide. I'm not sure about the Fischback/Manual of Lab & Diagnostic - I didn't see that one on the book list. is it one of our required books? Maybe they updated the list since I bought my books. Yikes . . .

LIsa, the Fischbach is an optional book, not required. Where did you buy the Fundamentals pkgs?
