newborn and toddler and in nursing school

Im going for the adn program this Spring. Classes start on June 22 and im due July 10. Im starting to worry about how ill manage with a newborn and a toddler while still continuing with my career. Im planning on taking almost two weeks off after giving birth and then going back. Im just beyond worried that classes will be too difficult for me 😰 how are you guys managing school with kids? I just need some reassurance that its possible to succeed in school with so much on your hands😳

I have a toddler and a 9years old.

Trust me, they are hard at any age.

I have a 6 y/o and a 1 y/o and a VERY supportive husband and 2 amazing friends. I will say that its not easy. Kids get sick, you need a back up plan so you dont miss class/clinical. Its dooable but you really need a strong support system. Im not sure how well I would have done without mine. I have never in my life studied so much. Im going into my 3rd semester of my ADN program and doing great so far. I study everyday after class/clinical until its time to pick up my kids around 5. I dont get much done after that until they go down for the night. My husband often takes them out for the weekend so mommy can study. So I've missed alot of family time but Im hoping that it pays off in the long run. My good friend is a single mother of 4, works full time, and school full time. Its hard but we know we are doing this to give our families some financial stability. Stay focused and study hard and you will get through this. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress

How is the attendance policy, I know it's very strict at most schools. I would wait to start after the baby if I were you. 2 weeks is a lot to miss in nursing school. And I'm sure you know what it takes to take care of a newborn(long,late nights). Then up early(possibly) for class/clinicals. I wish you all the luck in the world. It can be done.
