I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.
Thank you!
Hey so I don't want to say anything too specific to totally identify myself, I'll also probably delete this in a few days.
BUT
my offer is in adult acute care, which is what I wanted :) and yes of course I accepted!
I start in the begining of August and will be on nights after orientation. They called me very quickly and then in an email sent a formal offer.
Working nights they quoted my salary around 88,000.
The next steps include a background check, pharm test and physical, then Im ready to start!
Good luck guys! I couldn't be happier starting my career at NYP.
I was there today too! How was it? I had a really good experience. I did ask about the PICU and positions. If I recall correctly, she said there are position that need to be filled on her unit! Good luck everyone!
I thought it went well, better than I had expected. I was sooo nervous but they were both extremely welcoming. =) I think that's one thing I might have missed asking, whether or not they actually had positions, but I am sure they do, otherwise why would they have this?
I did not get to speak with HR today because they were at the Cornell campus, I'll try my best to get in contact with them tomorrow and let you guys know!
Neuro ICU at Columbia does have openings (for my friend on her hiring page it shows she's being considered for it), and the PICU at NYP-Morgan Stanley and Weill Cornell might have different amounts of openings! At Morgan Stanley they will have 1 and not till around December, unsure of Cornell because I'm not being considered there since I didn't interview with that PCD!
