I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.
Thank you!
10CasMic, did you interview for June 9th Columbia or this week for Cornell?
If it was for Cornell you probably wont get anything until next week. If it was for Columbia I would maybe call HR at the end of the week to get a status update? Perhaps they just haven't gotten through to everyone yet.
During the application process, did you guys apply to anything besides "2015 New Graduate Nurse Career Event?" I also attended the event and my nyp dashboard says Future consideration for "2015 New Graduate Nurse Career Event - Drop Off Your Application Here" but no specific departments are mentioned. I also received the top grad email. Were there specific applications for the different departments? I also don't graduate until August. Could that be a reason why no specific departments are mentioned?
I wish they were more transparent with the process. From reading other threads it seems as though some people waiting months to get an answer. So frustrating!

I'm worried. I never received the e-mail about being a top new grad, but on my log-in page it says Future Consideration for one of the units I interviewed for. Any ideas?
