Rochester, NY New Grad

U.S.A. New York

Hi all! I'm a brand new nurse with my BSN and I'm thinking about moving to Rochester, NY. It would be nice to find out more info about Strong, Rochester General, Unity, etc. Do they take a lot of new grads? What is the starting pay? What is it like living in Rochester? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

No nurses in the Rochester area?

I know it has been a couple months since you asked but I wanted to try to offer you some info.

While I can't speak much about the hospitals because I have not worked in them, I have lived in the area and Rochester is an amazing city to live in. It's beautiful, so much to do in and around the city, and affordable to live there.

My sister works in the lab at U of R and she really likes it. They seem to have great benefits too.

Feel free to PM as well if you would like. Born and raised in Rochester, went to St. John Fisher, graduated with my BSN from the U of R program. Worked at Monroe Community Hospital and Rochester General as well!
