No nurses in the Rochester area?

Hi all! I'm a brand new nurse with my BSN and I'm thinking about moving to Rochester, NY. It would be nice to find out more info about Strong, Rochester General, Unity, etc. Do they take a lot of new grads? What is the starting pay? What is it like living in Rochester? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks hcs808! Only Hodges from the two you mentioned is teaching next semester. I turned in my form already :). They told me we should be getting an email from them the next couple weeks.

The letter is dated Nov 1. I got it in the mail yesterday (Nov 3). My status on STAR didn't change yet even though I'm a UHM student. It still says Pre-nursing so don't give up yet if yours is still the same! :) My stats: pGPA - 4.0 cGPA - 3.3 verbal - 64 math - 94 science - 77

Do you guys know if they value preq gpa more or cumgpa more? Or both equally?

Does anyone know if the acceptance letter comes in a standard size envelope or a big envelope?

Ahh never mind i got the rejection letter from today's mail I knew this would happen since i was short 3% for the minimum ATI score requirement. What was your ATI score Rome808 if you don't mind sharing? Still keeping my fingers crossed for UH manoa >_
