Just looking for company ... Has anyone applied for ammerman's fall 2011 nursing program? What are your grades and does anyone know last years GPA cutoff? Also, do you know anyone who got in without four A's?

This is a new thread...others are from a few urs ago.

Specializes in Peds.

i did... and now they want my high school transcript but i already have my bachelors and stuff im still wondering if they really really need my high school ones... i heard its pretty hard to get in... my friend told me what they do is put everyone and their grades on excel and sort them by GPA then grades and whoever are on the top they get accepted... its pretty competitive for a AAS program... my grades for the prereqs are not that good... im just applying for the sake of it, good luck to us lol =)

that's insane....why on earth would rthey need a high school transcript if u r already a college graduate.Very interesting though how your friend says they excel everyone...I have never heard that before and I have heard tons of stories. it does make complete sense though. Here are my four prereq grades:

AP 1- A

AP 2- B

Psych - A

Eng- B

GPA 3.5

From what I have heard this is just not good enough. I am taking Micro starting this month.

If anyone would know of someone or themselves who have gotten in with these grades please do tell!

Good luck to you!

Hello,

I applied for SCCC Fall 2011 as well... Good luck to all!

I applied to the grant campus lpn to rn program for the fall. I really want to go to stony brook but suffolk is my plan b. Does anyone know when to expect to hear if you are accepted or not? I tried calling to find out but nobody seemed to know.

I was told to expect a decision sometime in April/May. Not sure why it takes so long.

That does seem like a long time, considering all they have to look at is your grades. Most schools look at recommendation letters and job experience, etc. I actually emailed the program admissions person and she said march or april. It will be here sooner than I realize but it just feels like a long time from now haha.

I applied for the fall day program with Ammerman campus 1st and Grant Campus as my 2nd choice. I am transferring in the English Comp class, and was lucky to pull A's in A&P I, II and Psych. I also just finished Micro Biology in Fall 2010. Like Ruby, I applied to SBU also and although either program would be great, I can leveage other credits I have better if I am lucky enough to get into SBU's 2 year BSN.

I did recieve a postcard from SCCC about 2 weeks ago acknowledging that my application for the RN program was on file. I applied early in the fall semester so it was nice to hear something.

Good luck everyone.

I also applied to Ammerman Fall 2011 nursing program. Hopefully I'll see some of you there. : )

Just got a form letter today from SCCC asking for all HS and college transcripts as well as immunization records. I thought I had everything in already except for HS transcript (which is probably written on parchment paper with a quill pen). There is a contact number on the bottom, guess I will give a jingle on Monday... Anyone (or everyone) else get a similar letter?

I just received the letter saying they have received my application. I'm a current student at SCCC and I've given admissions my transcripts and immunization ect..when i first applied to the school (for liberal arts.) I'm not sure if it would apply to us. I guess I'll be calling too, just to make sure.

I also received the letter. Like you, I am also a matriculated student at SCCC (Liberal Arts). I called to confirm my HS transcripts were on record just to be sure.

You can call the office or check your immuni. & transcript status via the SCCC portal (under student services/student records)

I checked today and was able to see that my change of emphasis app. to the Nursing degree program has been processed. (located under student services..Admissions tab).

And now we wait... ;0)

Best of luck to you!
