Wondering how your interview and pharm assessment went?

Pharm exam was okay. Dosage Calcs and conversions. When you passed the exam you will be interviewed by the HR and will be sent to the DON and ADON. They asked me basic and clinical questions.

thanks holinurse! I am a new grad and have been applying all over nyc. New York Methodist is one of the hospitals I would love to work at. I am curious as to how their interview process works. can you share your experience?

I was called for a interview for NYM last month and went there. I was offered the position on the spot and HR called me a week after but I declined the offer as I accepted another offer somewhere else.

congratulations. what unit did you get a job offer for at nym?

My impression of NYM hiring for new grads is that they're really only going to hire a new grad if: a) said new grad has been working as a tech at NYM for a while, OR maybe did a nursing externship at NYM; and b) the new grad has a BSN.

I'm entering an extremely well-regarded ABSN program this year, and have been volunteering in patient care at NYM for the past six+ months, but I have no illusions that NYM is going to hire me as a new grad.
