My impression of NYM hiring for new grads is that they're really only going to hire a new grad if: a) said new grad has been working as a tech at NYM for a while, OR maybe did a nursing externship at NYM; and b) the new grad has a BSN.
I'm entering an extremely well-regarded ABSN program this year, and have been volunteering in patient care at NYM for the past six+ months, but I have no illusions that NYM is going to hire me as a new grad.

I had an interview there last week, I am not a new grad but I do not have hospital experience. I thought the interview went well but I have not heard back from them yet. I hate the whole waiting process.

I had my intetview yesterday with a recruiter and she said she will def call me back either in a day or two. Gave me her business card and gave me salary and benefits info. Didn't get sent over immediately. Is this positive or negative? Have not heard back from them yet and its been one day.

She gave you all the info, maybe it means you will meet with the Manager after. Its not a guarantee though but it looks good. You can email her to say u enjoyed meeting with her and you look forward to the next step. However to be hired, it is the RN Manager that makes the decision and she/he then tells HR/Recruiting to start the hire process.

Does anyone know what new grad salaries are for this hospital? I found some information, but it's several years old - would appreciate any info you could share.
Not sure on the salary, but most new grads do not have many options for a first job. So its hard to be picky based on the pay. As long as you get offered base salary (before BSN add-on, shift differential, and certification/experience add-ons as time goes on) of $65K or higher, take it. HR would tell you the pay and benefits at your interview. I never interviewed with them so i don't know. But once u go for interview, all HR departments tell u the financials in case u get hired.

Hi! What kind of interview questions (especially clinical ones) did you have? I have an interview soon, and I'm way too nervous!!!!!

I never made it to a clinical interview. I had the meet-the-recruiter interview with pharm/math assessment etc. How do you even know you'll be getting clinical questions?
