I was just wondering what everyone's fall schedule is like. In order to be accepted into our ADN program you need to have A&P I & II done, math, english and philosophy already done before you even apply. It's interesting to see that some are accepted before even completing those courses. I have also already taken Micro, sociology, psychology, political science and speech so those are out of the way. We have to have those done before we graduate, except for Micro which needs to be done before the 2nd semester!
When we got our acceptance letters, they allowed us to take Pharmacology in the summer. It's brutal but we're making it. Beaming525, Debstr and I are all in the same program...are we lucky to meet here first and then be in the same class? Hi Louisa and Debbie!!!
Anyways, I will only have 8 credits this fall. Not too bad huh? I will have nursing 101 lecture, lab and one day of clinicals. Yahoo!!!!
Let us know what your first semester will be like!
Hi everyone1
I thought I had already posted on this thread but I can't find it.
This fall I will be working on pre-reqs also.

I still need my histories, abnormal psyc., another government, statistics, chemistry, micro. I would like to take Pharm and Patho before I start nursing school but I'm not sure how to go about it.
My schedule is as follows:
Intro to Nursing Practice (1 credit, no lab or clinical)
Health Asessment & Clinical Reasoning (2 credits with a lab, nro clinical)
A&P I (4 credits with a lab)
Human growth & development (4 credits, internet course)
I will be in class on Mondays from 9:00 - 11:50 & 12:30 - 3:20. Then on Tues & Thurs evenings from 5:30 - 8:50. The rest of the time I will be working, enjoying my kids and studying.
Hope I can do it.

I start my first semester August 23. I have one year of pre-reqs. I can apply for the nursing school March of 2003 :) The bad thing is after taking the 4 classes this semester I have only 2 of classes I need. But the advisor would not let me take them this semester.
So I am taking Chemistry of Life, Biology of Women, Beginning Spanish, and American history2. Next semeste I plan on taking Anatomy, first aid and cpr, and the fundementals of Algebra and one other class but I don't know which one yet.

I'll be finishing prereq's for my ADN program this term, and will start clinical classes spring term.
I'm set to take A&P, Microbiology, Algebra, and Webpage Development ( I've got to have SOME fun ). The A&P class has two hours of lab a week, but the Micro class has 4! Yep, FOUR. Lots. Blargh.
Oh well. :) Almost there...
Donna :)
This fall I'm taking Nursing 2010, which I think is Principles and Practices of Nursing 4.
My schedule is:
Monday:
GIT: 10 am-12 pm (lecture)
Clinical: 3 pm-9 pm
Tuesday:
Clinical: 3 pm-9 pm
Thursday:
Lab: 11 am-12 pm
GIT: 2:30 pm-4:30 pm
This is the easiest schedule I've had since starting school!
I'll also be working on Wednesdays, after class on Thursdays, and all weekend for a total of 32 hours per week.
I just started working on my pre-requisites this summer by taking Chemistry and Psychology (which I took online). I'll be taking Interpersonal Communications, English Comp., A&P1, and Nutrition this fall......all in the evening or online. I'll be applying for the Nursing program this spring for the 2003 Fall term. This is all so new, scary and exciting to me. I am just now going to school at 44 years old! Yes, I've been the oldest in my classes so far, but my grades are good (so far).
