New and need help locating nurse

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hello everyone,

I don't know if I can post this here but I really need your help.

I am a scrapbooker and we also have meesage boards. A bunch of us were scammed by a person for thousands of dollars. She has disappeared without a trace.

The only thing we know for sure is that she was a visiting nurse and/or nursing home administrator in Alabama, Alaska, and Florida. Her name is Chris or Christine Lynn. Have any of you come across her? Does anyone know where I should look for info?

I found you on a search and I am really hoping somebody can help me. I am only out $50 but some of the ladies are out a lot more.

You can email me at [email protected].

Thanks sooo much!

Tammy

Share, share, that's fair!!!!

Lever5 you forgot to give us your bank account info so we can send you the money!!!!

Hey! You're forgetting I'm used to nurses wages. $5 tax free dollars is alot!

Sorry Heather, of course I should have known better about the money thing. Guess I was distracted making sure I didn't miss the turnip truck picking me up for work!

I don't know if she was trying to scam us. she may have been legit. But I agree this isn't the forum to try to catch scammers and it CERTAINLY isn't the forum to scam amyone.

You all are on the ball.

We as nurses are not scam artists, we are actors and actressess...just think the last time you served up some of that hospital or pureed nursing home food and told the pt/res "yyyuuuummmmm looks good!" LOL

Man you are not kidding. I offered to turn the light on for a patient so he could see his tray and he (a cardiac patient no less) throws out his hands and yells "NO, DON'T TURN ON THE LIGHT!!! THIS IS SO MUCH EASIER TO EAT IN THE DARK!!!" Sad thing was he wasn't kidding!!!

OK Chirs, I MEAN HEATHER, we know you're legit!!!!

Wonder why Lever5 hasn't given us the bank info yet??? Anyone else a little hurt by that??????

I guess nurses are so used to being BS'd and SCAMMED by administration that they are a suspicious, cold-hearted bunch.

A search of "ickymitch5" turned up 1 result:

[email protected] writes: 01/05/02 - "Great trade with Rachael. She is a speedy shipper and frequent communicator!"

.......on a scrapbooking board.

ickymitch5 is not showing up on the member list for that site............I wonder why?

....................uhmm,that post is 6 months old............uhmm,only one hit on a Google search........ever.

email addys are very easy to get and so are sob stories. A sucker is born every minute and so is a scam.

If that person was sincere they would have invited us to see the community and we would have extended the same courtesy if we were on the other side.

They could have posted the paticulars right here on the BB. They didn't because there weren't any. Would you? I sure as heck would. I would regurgitate every sorid detail hoping someone would recognize either the supposed scammer or be aware. At least I would have an opportunity to get it off my chest. Have you ever seen someone who got ripped off?

That's were we got the phrase "singing like a canary".

My feeling is that they are not legit.

The guilt you are feeling is what they count on.

Nell,

I didn't want to seem like I was attacking you. I just reviewed my post and thought it might come off that way. Since you are a fairly new poster on the board and you don't know me yet,I thought I would say that I like your posts and mean no ill will towards you:sniff:
