New and need help locating nurse

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hello everyone,

I don't know if I can post this here but I really need your help.

I am a scrapbooker and we also have meesage boards. A bunch of us were scammed by a person for thousands of dollars. She has disappeared without a trace.

The only thing we know for sure is that she was a visiting nurse and/or nursing home administrator in Alabama, Alaska, and Florida. Her name is Chris or Christine Lynn. Have any of you come across her? Does anyone know where I should look for info?

I found you on a search and I am really hoping somebody can help me. I am only out $50 but some of the ladies are out a lot more.

You can email me at [email protected].

Thanks sooo much!

Tammy

I would think your local law enforcement agency would be the best place to take this up, not here.

Heather

Hi Heather,

Thanks for responding to my post. Local enforcement are involved and advised us to gather as much info as possible. She was staying by a friend in Lincoln, AL and scammed her too. I want to make sure she doesn't hurt other people.

Thanks,

Tammy

One thing about the internet...For the most part, we are all anonymous. So we can't be sure who is the "scammer" and who is the "scammie". It would be very inappropriate to respond any further. but I like Heather's response.

I totally agree! I fogot to mention that if you email me, I will give you a contact number for the Licoln, Al police, also the ones in OR and AK that are involoved. You don't have to tell me ANYTHING.

It was one of them who gave me the advice to ask around.

Tammy

I agree with Heather,of course.

I wonder why you think we would trust someone with no profile, location or other information who goes by a woman's name but has a man's name for an IM.

All explainable I'm sure but I'm usually not wrong when I feel that little twinge of "something's not right about this".

Another name for nurse is "skeptic" so yup, I think your barking up the wrong BB.

Email you?...................Forgot to mention that?..............You'll give that information if we give you our email addys.

Geeze, what's next?..........you just need to use our bank account numbers to "catch" them in the act.

:roll

I am sorry you feel this way. I did offer to give you a police number and not be privy to the info.

I can see I came to the wrong place. I thought nurses were caring people. Apparently I was mistaken. Don't bother replying, I will not be back.

Tammy

Btw-the email was the name my niece called my hubby-not that you will believe me.

Nope :chuckle

I hadn't even looked at the profile to notice the other things, good catch Peeps.

Nurses are caring people, but we're also HUGE skeptics, and we won't be taken. It's a shame that you and your friends were taken, but your anger at US is severely misdirected.

This was simply not the right place not take this.

Heather

we are just scum!

:rotfl: Heather

Aw.....gee I feel so bad.

I think that's a good idea.

If you were someone who got scammed you would be thinking of how we would feel and you would have empathy and be as forthcomming as possible.

If you were trying something fishy you would get beligerant and dissapear.

So...........................I guess that about wraps it up.
