New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

Hello....anyone here who applied in Nm last June and received their eligibility??? i have sent mine last june 24 and havent receive my eligibility til now. Its almost 4 months. Im just quite worried....anyone who is in the same situation now???

i checked with the tracking services of fedex and it was already received last oct11..thanks..now, i am thinking of sending an additional demand draft of $9.25 to complete the payment for the fingerprintcrd or do you think i just have to wait for their instructions? thanks so much for your reply..

hi xyaciv... i think it's better to wait for them to return it because it has instructions included in the packet.... im still waiting for mine to return, im a bit anxious because my friends got theirs last wednesday and thursday. i hope itll be in my mail box tomorrow...

hi astroboy... i think i read somewhere in this forum that last month, they were still working on applications from last may. so, they're probably processing yours by now.

how were you informed that the board received your documents? i sent mine last oct 8 and i also included $31 for the fingerprint card..so do you think my documents will be returned also? thank you for the information..

for everyone's information, the fees for Department of Public Safety (background processing fee) has been changed to $40.25 already instead of $31. I just had my bankdraft today and plan to send it tomorrow. Also, pls. download page 2 of the application form on the NM website for the updated form. (I was able to download the old form last month, but I had made an error on the second page. That's where I found out the new fees for background processing fee.)

kindly let me know what will be their instructions regarding the new amount needed for the fingerprint card..i was informed by the bank where i purchased the demand draft that it will take sometime if they will cancel the first check, but it will be easier if i will just get an additional check for the balance..thank you so much for your patience in answering my queries..

I think It would be much better if you send the updated form plus the whole amount of 40.25. Then email them to resend back your backdraft/check for faster processing result. In that way, you can retrieve your money back without too much delay on your application process.

hi.. i mailed my application a month after yours.. but anyway i just want to share what i heard from my friend.. she mailed all her documents last march and she had just received her eligibility last september, there were no problem with all her documents, it's just that NM BON received many applicants so the processing is taking much longer.. :uhoh21:

i am really worried because my agency passed my application directly in mexico last july 16, 2007 and until now i dont have my eligibility. I already paid pearson vue last dec 6, 2006 because that was the advise of my agency. all of my friends told me i should have wait for my eligibility. as i read some of the post regarding new Mexico i dont think i can make it this dec 6. most probably i have to pay again. new Mexico told the same to me that they are not yet processing the july papers that was last august when i follow up my application.

it has been repeatedly advised by the more experienced mods here to STAY AWAY with agencies as they will just steal money from you. They don't even know that there's retrogression going on. They just keep on hiring and making RN's sign contracts. We'll right now, you just have to pray and keep your fingers crossed that hopefully Ms. Vidaurri will have some time at looking and processing your papers before your Pearson Vue registration expires. As of last count, they are lag by 4 months.

Sorry but you do have a choice and I am sure you would find hospitals direct hire if you shopped around. Even if you paid last Dec I would say you have issues if the agency took 7 months to file. They are the ones that should pay if your application expires, they are not following through with your file and I would say they have failed you
