New Job Offer but bad situation with daycare (advice needed)

Published

Hello all! I have been viewing allnurses.com for sometime but this is my first post so here goes.....I just got a voicemail from a nurse recruiter with a job offer for a prn position. I am soooo happy I really wanted this job!:D The bad news is my child is in parttime daycare (MWF) and there is not a spot available for him to switch to fulltime daycare until May 17th :crying2:. Im not sure what to do. I truly want this job, but will they hold the position that long? I really want this position! I need advice. Im sooooo stressed!

I looked on Meetup.com and there are a lot of groups for military wives you could join. I am in a group that started out with like 15 or 20 people last summer and now it has almost 200 members and we all support each other. I thought it was kind of weird at first because of meeting off the internet, but with all first meetings, they are in a public place. We host a new member meetup everymonth, have playdates for the wives with children, bingo, movies, bunco tournaments, etc. It's a really good support system, and there are a lot of close friendships that have formed out of it. You should look into it!

A lot of the wives have children and can look after other's children with their own.

Here's the update: I spoke with the nurse manager and she said a start date after May 17th is fine! Thanks everyone for the advice!
