New Jersey City University (NJCU) Accelerated Nursing 2019

Hi all!

I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

@cinnabonwife It's offered at both Harrisburg and Altoona! Its one application but you have to apply to both because it asks you to select your first and second choices for the program and theres only two! I'm probably leaning more towards an NJ school went out on a limb when I applied to PSU haha

I too have been lurking on the boards without saying anything. I have a confession - I went against the rules and e-mailed NJCU a couple of days ago, asking when would be the latest date we'd hear. They said we'd hear before May 1st, but I am hoping that today will be the day. (So, if we don't hear today, I'm thinking it will be on Monday) I wish everyone luck!

Ahh so same as Caldwell. That and NJCU really are my last programs and my top ones to answer me. My heart will really be crushed if I get rejected by both. Thanks for the update tho!

Yeah now that I heard typically Monday or Friday results are sent, I’m frantic about today since it’s the last Monday of April AND someone said they checked and admissions said before May 1st, and that’s Wednesday, so I can’t imagine ?????? I’m just praying, His will be done ????

My life and soul gets sucked away little by little every time I check but I’m just wishing on a miracle from God. I mean all the schools I’ve talked to keep saying its all about pre-reqs and GPA nothing else matters anymore and I got less than a 90 so I don’t have too much faith in getting a spot or a waitlisted spot. Most schools only wanna see As and are ok with some Bs and high gpa higher than 3.3 and advanced-excellent level on the test they request for you to take. I mean other than that they’ll maybe glance at your letters or cv. Some just take them but don’t even look at them one school in Ny told me they only look at gpa. Others if they look at it it’s just like extra credit a point or two. I feel like they should set stricter requirements so whoever doesn’t meet or fit their criteria knows they have no chance they’d shouldn’t keep it open to a wide range if they want the superior book smart and grade smart students. It would also keep their review period shorter. This application wait and process is sort of making me a cynical person which I’m just usually not. I mean we just need a little longer. Some schools I already know I didn’t meet their requirements the problem is that all of us applicant meet the requirements of njcu so it’s really like a guessing game from there.

FDU is strict on G.P.A. I didnt get into their program because of my undergrad G.P.A from 2011 even though I had 4.0 on the prerequisites and great letters of Recommendation. I only got into Rutgers and have yet to hear from NJCU. Felician I finish application but they lost my resume in mail but at that point i decided not to pursue admission to Felician
