New Jersey City University (NJCU) Accelerated Nursing 2019

Hi all!

I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

I am planning on applying for the 2019-2020 NJCU Wall Cohort! I'm so nervous already! I have one more prereq to take this fall (microbiology) and I have to take the HESI test.

Hi! I also have to take Microbiology and start preparing for the HESI. I'm nervous but super ready. Just trying to see how I'm going to pay for the program haha. Ive been searching other forums to see how ppl paid but I haven't found anything yet.

I was planning on taking out loans. I'm nervous because my GPA is 3.3 and I know this program is very competitive. My major in college was chemistry and all those advanced chemistry classes took a toll on my GPA. My pre-reqs have all been As though. NJCU is my first choice or else I have to retake a lot of pre-reqs because I graduated more than 5 years ago. NJCU has a 10 year window.

Same here. Hopefully I haven't capped out on loans. My overall GPA is 3.73 and my Pre-Req GPA is 3.5 without Micro...I'm currently getting my Masters in Health Sciences Public Health from NJCU (hoping to become a public health nurse). NJCU is my ONLY choice...I don't have the Orgo pre-req that other schools require and I don't want to take it! Good thing NJCU looks at your app holistically and not at just GPA so you have other ways to make your application strong.

Hi everyone! I'm also applying for next year. I have to retake micro and I'll be taking dev psych and prepping for the Hesi. Im anxious about the whole process. Praying I get in.

I'm currently taking microbiology as well. I'm doing it online through EduKan. I plan on buying a HESI study book around november when my classes settle down. I'm very anxious as well. Ive been looking forward to this for so long!
